Biography

Peiyuan Zhai is a PhD student in the SPS group, under supervision of Prof. Geethu Joseph. His research topic is radar signal processing for next generation vehicular networks, in close cooperation with colleagues from 3mE and NXP. Before this, he finished his MSc thesis also at SPS in 2022.

Signal processing for environment-aware radar

In future, cars will exploit multiple radars towards autonomous driving. Before this becomes a reality, several challenges will have to be solved.

  1. Sparsity-Aware Occupancy Grid Mapping for Automotive Driving Using Radar-LiDAR Fusion
    Peiyuan Zhai; Geethu Joseph; Nitin Jonathan Myers; Çağan Önen; Ashish Pandharipande;
    In IEEE Sensors,
    2024.

  2. Distributed Gaussian Process Hyperparameter Optimization for Multi-Agent Systems
    Zhai, Peiyuan; Rajan, Raj Thilak;
    In ICASSP 2023-2023 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP),
    IEEE, pp. 1--5, 2023.
