In the role of an ASIC Design or Design Flow specialist at the TU Delft Faculty of EEMCS Department of Micro-Electronics, you will be working on state-of-the-art electronic circuits and systems. The department of ME operates on the forefront of research related to: (5G) communication, (car) radars, smart (bio) sensors, and analogue / digital / mixed-signal (VLSI) circuits in general. These circuits are typically conceived and implemented in the most advanced CMOS, SOI, BiCMOS, SiGe, LDMOS and III-V technology nodes.

As the design or design flow specialist you will:

• Assist students and university staff with the design, simulation, implementation and verification/testing of analog, digital and mixed-signal integrated circuits.

• Facilitate support with the design of (standard) cells such as pad rings, digital I/O, buffers, etc.

• Install and support ASIC design cell libraries and PDKs (e.g. TSMC, AMS, XFAB).

• Maintain relations including associated administration with various foundries and their design centers (e.g. IMEC), as well as, EDA tool suppliers (e.g. Europractice).

• Assist with the packaging and wire bond assembly of the implemented ASICs.

Your skills include:

• Strong team mentality and enthusiasm to work in a diverse, international team.

• Proficient in English in both written and oral communication.

• Experience with integrated-circuit CAD tools, such as Cadence, Tanner, Mentor and Synopsys.

• Experience with operating systems, programming environments and languages like Unix, Matlab, Python and scripting.

• Experience with PCB design.

Requirements

• BSc or (preferably) MSc degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Preferably (3 years) of experience in the physical design and verification of CMOS based semi- or full-custom integrated circuits (ASICs)
